Dr. Kruger

Originating from Saint-Malo (France), Thierry got his bug for collecting Soul and Funk records a few years after his move to London in 2007. With Dj Slim, Strutter and Lady Kamikaze in toe, Hook & Sling was soon put together – an event dedicated to their love of Funk music.

Thierry is also the founder of Color One Tear Black where he is joined in good company by Jim Edwards and Claire Kalvis regularly banding out the very best Sweet, Deep and Group Soul harmonies… We dig!

Punky found his feet in the soul scene mid-late 90-s through Ska, Acidjazz, Hip Hop and Funk music. At that time, Östlund mainly had the rare 60’s, 70’s and crossover vibe before graduating more towards the Sweet Soul sound.
