Mick Jones a.k.a Mr Jonze has been collecting wax for 30+ years, holding residencies across Liverpool for two decades along side the ever present ‘No Fakin’ brothers. We’re hyped to have Mick on our bill, having recently dropped wax at the Garden Festival Croatia, various clubs in Zargreb, Oslo and Soirée 47, France.
An initial hip hop collector in the 90’s it was a visit to ‘Head Funk’ Manchester listening to Chubby Grooves, Mr Scruff, Mark Rae and Matt Trigg that propelled him into breaks and samples. Since then, Mick has developed a collection of vinyl encompassing all genres of music, although his roots are firmly rooted in soul and funk with a soft spot for a 45. Mick’s set to bring some heat to LSW 2018, for sure.
